The original snap on resonators are long gone, I installed black Saxgourmet kangaroo skin pads with copper"Maestro Star Airtight Solid Brass" resonators.
The neck is a little rough but in great shape despite of it. The sound is huge all around but the upper register and palm keys don't cut too much and don't go sharp like a lot of horns.
The horn has been re-lacquered a long time ago, leaving 60% I don't have a problem with my mark vi but this TH&C is just better for me.

I BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO UPGRADE FROM THIS ONE. THIS CORNET IS AS NICE AN EXAMPLE OF A BUESCHER 400 AS YOU ARE EVER GOING TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. IT IS BASICALLY UNUSED SINCE CHARLIE DID THE RESTORATION. I PURCHASED THIS HORN FROM THE FAMOUS PPPMIKE COLLECTION LAST YEAR. CHARLIE IS THOUGHT BY MANY TO DO THE BEST RESTORATION WORK IN THE WORLD. IT HAS BEEN BARELY PLAYED SINCE THE RESTORATION AND IS IN SUPERB CONDITION.
